    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage day--to-day financial operations for our construction business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and a solid understanding of construction accounting practices, including job costing and progress billing.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
    • Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments
    • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements monthly.
    • Prepare and manage payroll, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
    • Track job costs and allocate expenses to specific projects.
    • Assist with preparation of financial reports for management.
    • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with year-end audits.
    Qualifications
    • Required
      • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role
      • Proficiency in accounting software
      • Strong knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping principles
      • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Preferred
      • Experience in construction industry bookkeeping
      • Familiarity with job costing, process billing, and lien waivers
      • knowledge of payroll systems and compliance requirements

    Education
    • Associate or Bachelor degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
