The Portland Chamber of Commerce has grown over the years to become a diversified group of men and women who, collectively, come together as an organization to further our understanding and progress of the Portland community. Through meetings and activities, we strive to better serve the needs of our local businesses and citizens.
In the foreground, we are comprised of a body of active volunteers including Ambassadors and a Board of Directors who work together with our Executive Director. It is the driving force of our greater membership, however, that guides our overall purpose and
progress.

The Board of Directors is the policy-making body of the Portland Chamber of Commerce. The Board directs the affairs of the Chamber and assumes responsibility for the functioning of the Chamber. Ambassadors

|
Ambassadors are the "worker bees" behind every program. This valuable group is made up of a group of volunteers from local businesses willing to aide the Chamber. They are nominated by the Ambassador Chair with recommendations from the full Board of Directors. They assist the Chamber in promoting and achieving success with several programs including the Strawberry Festival, beautification,
ribbon cuttings, grand openings, Chamber Banquet, the fundraising auction, and various other programs.
Ambassador Committee Mission Statement: To actively participate in Chamber activities. To interact and
communicate with current and potential new members resulting in a stronger
Chamber and business growth for the City of Portland. To gain personal satisfaction from
community involvement.
